Spinal and Non-Spinal Adjustment / Manipulation:
The word chiropractic comes from the Greek words cheir (hands) and praxis (practice). As the name suggests, it is a hands-on therapy.

Chiropractic manipulation is the application of pressure to a person’s spine or other parts of their body by a qualified chiropractic doctor, or chiropractor. This pressure allows a chiropractor to adjust and correct alignment or improve mobility.

Chiropractic manipulation aims to reduce pain and improve mechanical function, or the way a person moves.

Manual Therapy:
The many methods and techniques of manual therapy all involve specifically directed manual force to the body in order to improve range of motion, relieve muscle tension and to reduce musculoskeletal pain. Because we are trained in a variety of massage and other manual therapy modalities; patients seeking manual therapy treatment are assured of receiving only the finest quality chiropractic care. Our professionals carefully evaluate your condition before administering manual therapy treatment which may include traction massage, deep tissue work, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization and more.

All manual therapies performed are meant to reduce pain and encourage total body wellness. Additional benefits of manual therapy include spasm relief, cell metabolism, disc decompression and the reduction of nerve pressure and scar tissue.

Passive Release Therapy:
Very similar to Active Release Therapy (ART) but the provider creates the movement for you. This is a form of deep tissue in which the contracted muscle or trigger point is restricted or bound on itself, and the provider compresses the point of restriction while the muscle is in a shortened length. He/she then passively moves the muscle through its full range of motion stripping out the myofascial restriction that was causing the functional issue.

-
Instrument Assisted Myofascial Release:
Very similar to Graston Technique, the provider uses a surgical grade stainless steel instrument to strip scar tissue or myofascial restrictions out of an area in order to improve range of motion to a joint or tissue as well as decrease pain.

Kinesio Taping:
Also known as KT tape is applied along muscles, ligaments, and tendons (soft tissue) to provide a lightweight, external support that helps you remain active while recovering from injuries, KT tape creates neuromuscular feedback (called proprioception) that inhibits (relaxes) or facilitates stronger firing of muscles and tendons. This feedback creates support elements without the bulk and restriction commonly associated with wraps and heavy bracing. This is a great therapy for all functional related myofascial problems.
